Our two acre garden is well established, with mature trees and shrubs, rockery in a shady grove, and a walled garden being developed for vegetables.
We offer hospitality to a colony of honey bees, and keep some areas 'wild' to encourage wildlife.
In other areas, the garden is a bit 'wild' because there is a lot to keep up! so we welcome volunteers who might be willing to help on a regular or occasional basis - or even a one-off!
We have also set aside 16-20 July as 'Garden Days' in which we invite people to help us to prepare for our Open Garden Day (in the NGS 'Yellow Book' on 21 July). Anyone who would like to help is welcome to stay residentially ('free board and lodging')
We are pleased to be associated with the Quiet Garden Movement which nurtures access to outdoor space for prayer, reflection and rest in a variety of settings.
Our garden is open from 11 am on the 4th Thursday of each month.
Tea and coffee are available throughout the day.
There is a Eucharist at 6pm followed by supper for any who would like to stay.
Suggested donation £4. Please contact us to arrange your visit.
